This course is a 12-hour home study highlighting information from the Myofascial Congress in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where over 100 scientific studies were presented. We have chosen 20 for this course, revealing how pervasive and powerful fascia is in the body. Discover the relevance of these quantified scientific studies and how they validate the benefits and results of massage therapy. Combined is information on studies related to the anatomy and architecture of fascia, biomechanics and physiology, cytology and histology, mechanics, an abstract describing fascia, and the many types. The course concludes with discussions on the fascia’s relationship with circulation, functional range – macroscopic and microscopic- trigger points, and photos of myofascial technique with associated explanations.
