Description
Besides a home study for massage therapists and other healthcare professionals, this course was part of PB County’s pre-medical magnet program for students and their parents. This course offers easy ways to open the door to conversation about HIV, STIs (STDs), and other opportunistic diseases. It discusses global HIV/AIDS, its impact on society, stigmas, related and opportunistic pathologies such as STI (sexually transmitted infections), herpes, and TB. Additionally, children with HIV, HIV education in schools, religious (churches) stances, caregivers, critical studies with massage and T4/8 cells, understanding drug patents, AIDS organizations, transmission, infection control and management, prevention, and attitudes with appropriate behavior toward infected persons.
